Applications for the 2019 SGD Awards are now open. The annual awards are open to Registered, Pre-Registered and Student Members. Winners receive the accolade of being judged the best of the best by a panel of the UK’s most respected garden and landscape designers, and also enjoy the extensive national and international coverage the awards generate.

Pre-Registered Member Anne Windsor, who won the 2017 Big Ideas Small Budget Award, says: “I entered at the 11th hour, with the idea that my shared courtyard garden would help draw attention to the exciting design projects happening in Manchester – we feel a bit far away up in the north west sometimes! I didn’t expect to win, but it’s a wonderful feeling to be recognised for your work by your peers.”

Judge Annie Guilfoyle says the panel would like to see more work coming from new designers and “the ‘Fresh Designer’ category is the perfect opportunity to showcase new talent, so for those who have been holding back, this is the year to really pull out the stops and send in your entries. We want gardens of all sizes and budgets, gardens that respond to the client’s brief, and that are not only beautiful compositions but also function on a practical level.”
