Exotic fruit-shaped folly on show at Berrington Hall

An origami ‘pineapple’ by local artists Heather Peak and Ivan Morison of Studio Morison is currently surprising visitors to the 18th-century walled garden at Berrington Hall, Herefordshire.

It is part of the National Trust programme, Trust New Art, to introduce more contemporary arts into its heritage sites, reflecting the increasing diversity of visitors. Called ‘Look! Look! Look!’, the structure is enclosed in a walled garden designed by ‘Capability’ Brown.

The contemporary version of the follies that often featured in 18th- and 19th-century landscaping was brought to life by structural engineers Artura.
